USTC

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a prominent university in China and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide. It was established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1958 in Beijing, and the establishment of USTC was hailed as “a great event in the history of education and science of China”. In 1970, USTC moved to its current location in Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province. 

USTC is regarded in China as the "Cradle of Scientific Elites". Its educational principle emphasizes fundamental theories and provides students with a wide range of high-level training that incorporates newly emerging as well as interdisciplinary fields of study. 

According to the latest Nature Publishing Index (NPI) Asia-Pacific and The Nature Publishing Index China, USTC tops in Chinese universities again. The rankings are based on the number of papers that were published in Nature journals during the last 12 months.     

SSE USTC

The School of Software Engineering (SSE) USTC is one of the first thirty-five pioneer software engineering institutes in China, which was founded in 2001 to meet the demand of cultivating software professionals. In spite of short history, software engineering was reviewed as A- in the national discipline evaluation in 2017, while only 15 disciplines were reviewed as A+ or A among all USTCs schools. And SSE USTC is among the top 10 school of engineering.

SSE, mainly located in Suzhou, one of the most beautiful, cultural, and historial city in China, offers students with favorable study environments and facilities. Currently, SSE specilizes in four computer science areas, namely, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, Software System Design, Information Security and Mobile Software Development.Graduates of USTC  SSE are popular in top IT Companies as well as other industries, with annual salary from RMB 300,000 to RMB 600,000 which are among the tops of USTC.
